Expression is the premier cuvée of this excellent estate! It is a wine that shows the beautiful ripe fruit aromas one expects to get from the village of Cumières, along with floral nuances and flavors of pear, Meyer lemon, and toasted brioche. The grapes are gathered through manual harvesting and sent to a traditional Coquard wine press. Plot-by-plot vinification in temperature-controlled enameled steel vats are used, and the wine spends at least 40 months on its lees before release!

The 2020 Abstract pours a neon purple splash and an opaque maroon core with dark aromatics upfront. Black plum, boysenberry and hints of bing cherry and lavender invite a taste. On the palate, the aromatics turn into the sense of taste along with a touch of dark chocolate and reduced blackberry. Supple drying tannins and a slight chalky texture close the wine with a calming finish.

This beautifully matured Cabernet Sauvignon shows deeps aromas of mocha and cassis.
